Job summary

Grove Bay Hospitality Group in Miami Beach is seeking a friendly and energetic Food Runner to support our award-winning restaurant team. You will assist servers, prepare tables, and ensure guests receive prompt, accurate service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or GED), experience in restaurants, and excellent customer service and communication skills. This role offers opportunities for advancement and a team-oriented culture in a celebrated Miami Beach

Qualifications

Experience working in the restaurant industry.
Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Stand for extended periods and maintain energy.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Serving complimentary snacks to guests once they are seated.
Wrapping utensils in napkins accordingly.
Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required.
Carrying dirty tableware to the kitchen area.
Preparing tables for arriving guests by wiping spills, clearing crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware, napkins, and condiments.
Delivering food to tables when Servers are busy.
Responding to guests' requests and informing management of any complaints.
Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of patrons.
Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies.
