Job summary

American Social in Tampa, FL is seeking service-oriented team members to join our restaurant. You will describe and sell all items on the food and beverage menus, deliver meals and drinks, and maintain a positive guest experience throughout shifts.

This role requires 18+ to serve liquor, occasional late-night hours, English fluency, and the ability to work under pressure while keeping a clean, well-stocked dining room.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and able to read, write, and speak.
• Alcohol awareness certification required (e.g., ServSafe, TIPs).
• Food handling certificate is a plus.
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Describe and sell all items on the food and beverage menus.
• Deliver beverages and food efficiently while engaging guests.
• Maintain high production standards: presentation, portioning, and temperature.
• Ensure food is cooked to standards and guest specifications.
• Clear and reset tables for new guests.
• Stock supplies and keep the environment clean and organized.
• Work well under pressure and collaborate with FOH and BOH.
• Follow manager directions and support marketing initiatives.

• Ensure proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level
• Able to move items up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
