Job summary

American Social in Boca Raton is seeking a friendly and energetic server to greet guests, upsell beverages and menu items, and ensure a stellar dining experience. You will deliver orders, process payments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.

Must be 18+, available for late-night shifts, and hold an Alcohol Awareness certification. English fluent, with strong teamwork and communication skills, is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to serve liquor.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (e.g., ServSafe, TIPs) required.
• Food handling certificate a plus.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously.
• Guide guests through beverage and food ordering, making suggestions.
• Describe and upsell all food and beverage items.
• Deliver beverages and food promptly and maintain guest engagement.
• Process payments and invite guests to return.
• Keep tables clean and tables stocked; support both FOH and BOH.
• Work as a team across shifts and departments as needed.
• Follow managers' directions and support marketing initiatives.

Job Functions:

• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests
• Supports restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping a clean and organized environment
• Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
• Works cohesively with all Team Members
• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested
• Works well under pressure
• Follows the direction of the Managers on duty
• Supports and follows all Marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
