Job summary

American Social - Miami (Brickell) is seeking a friendly, energetic server/barback to join our hospitality team. You will confidently describe and sell all menu items while delivering beverages and food with precision under fast-paced pressure.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with alcohol certification, fluent English, willingness to work late hours (12 AM–3 AM), and strong attention to detail, safety, and guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to serve liquor.
• Ability to work late-night shifts, potentially 12 AM–3 AM.
• Schedules shifts as assigned.
• Alcohol awareness certification required (e.g., ServSafe, TIPs).
• Food handling certificate a plus.
• Fluent in English: speak, read, write.
• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy while performing tasks.
• Able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs to waist level.
• Able to move items up to 50 lbs for distances up to 25 feet.
• Remain stationary for up to 4 hours during shift.
• Communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.

• Ensure proper plate presentation, portioning, and recipe adherence
• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests

• Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
• Works cohesively with all Team Members
• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested

Qualifications
