Responsibilities

• Run food to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining presentation.

• Clear and reset tables and assist teammates as needed.
• Assist with seating, waitlists, and guest flow throughout shifts.
• Maintain guest areas and restrooms when necessary.
• Answer phones and assist with reservations and to-go orders.

Tin Roost is hiring Food Runners to join our team in North Liberty, Iowa!

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant featuring a scratch kitchen, spacious patio, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Our Food Runners play an important role in keeping service moving smoothly between the kitchen, service team, and our guests.

Fully trained Food Runners start at $8.10 per hour plus tips. Tip payouts are distributed the following morning.

Schedule

• Part-time opportunities available

What You'll Do

As a Food Runner, you'll help keep the restaurant organized, clean, and running efficiently throughout each shift. Responsibilities may include:

• Running food to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards
• Coordinating with kitchen and service team members to ensure orders are delivered correctly and on time
• Clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables
• Assisting teammates throughout the restaurant as needed
• Maintaining cleanliness in guest areas, including restrooms when necessary
• Welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly, professional manner
• Supporting the host stand by greeting and seating guests and providing menus
• Helping manage the waitlist and communicating accurate wait times
• Assisting with seating organization and overall guest flow
• Answering phones and assisting with reservations and to-go orders as needed
• Completing assigned opening and closing responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and completing physical tasks throughout a shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Previous customer service experience is helpful but not required
• Basic food safety knowledge is a plus
