Job summary

DecoPac, Inc. in Anoka, MN is seeking a Quality Specialist - Documentation to respond to quality, food safety, and regulatory requests and complaints.

You will support supplier approval documentation and ensure consumable products meet quality and safety regulations through cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and labels, analyzing test data, coordinating with QA, R&D, Procurement, and Sales, and acting as back-up for inspections and product testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years in quality control/assurance; 7+ years if no degree.
• SQF and HACCP food safety systems experience required; GFSI knowledge strongly preferred.
• Understanding of major food allergens strongly preferred.
• Food label review and verification experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service.
• Review, support, and approve consumable product specifications and labels.
• Collaborate with QA, R&D, Product Management, IBP, Procurement, and Sales to meet quality benchmarks.
• Document and analyze test data; prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Backup for quality receiving inspections, nonedible and consumable.
• Communicate with regulatory bodies and suppliers to maintain high-quality standards.
• Back-up for product testing to meet timelines.
• Back-up Receiving Quality Inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.
