Job summary

Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a professional cook to prepare ingredients, monitor quality, and ensure sanitation in a high-demand kitchen in Villa Rica, GA. The role involves following recipes, operating ovens and grill equipment, and maintaining food production standards.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years of related experience, and familiarity with HACCP. A ServSafe training completion within 6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety.
• Proficient knife skills and sanitation.
• Experience with bulk cooking for large quantities.
• ServSafe Food Handler and Allergens training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards and food production checklist.
• Prepare cold foods.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test food to determine if it is cooked sufficiently.
• Monitor food quality while preparing food.
• Label and store leftovers properly and maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
