Job summary

Open Hand Atlanta Inc in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Cook I to direct and participate in all aspects of food preparation, following Open Hand’s food safety, quality, sanitation, and HACCP plans, and complying with the employee manual.

You will cook in large batches, follow recipes exactly, record production and temperature data, maintain a clean, safe work area, and assist with new recipe testing. Previous kitchen experience is required; ServSafe certification or HACCP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain it.
• Experience in a kitchen environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Cook in large batches following recipes and build sheets.
• Ensure food is cooked to proper ServSafe temperatures and not over/under cooked.
• Record production and temperature data on required forms.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and report sanitation issues.
• Assist with recipe creation and testing.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
