Job summary

Civil Recruit is seeking a Food Production Supervisor III for the Denver area. The position is on site at 4301 Forest St, Denver, CO 80216 with 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm), or 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am); weekend work may be required. A panel interview and potential conversion to full-time are noted possibilities.

The role oversees manufacturing and warehouse coordination in a large, complex facility, driving continuous improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in a production environment.
• 1+ years of experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manufacturing and warehouse functions within a large, fast-paced production facility to drive efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals and action plans, short and long term.
• Utilize new technology and lean principles to maximize efficiency and costs savings.
• Foster a work environment emphasizing trust, teamwork, quality and safety.
• Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.

Summary

Production Supervisor III

Location:4301 Forest St, Denver, CO 80216

1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm

2nd Shift 2pm to10:30pm

3rd Shift 10pm to 6:30 am

Days of the week are TBD as management is currently developing a schedule.

Associates may be required to work weekends, potentially at least one day each weekend.

Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time employment? Yes

Candidates will have a panel interview.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term.
• Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency.
• Promote development of cost saving initiatives.
• Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
• Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Safeway, Federal and State guidelines
• Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of leadership experience in a production environment
• 1 of more years' experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce
• Ability to manage and develop employees
• Availability – willingness to work hours and holidays
• Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
