Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Production Supervisor III in Denver for a fast-paced facility. Determine shift coverage and coordinate production and warehousing to deliver quality, on-time products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manufacturing and warehouse functions in a large, fast-paced facility to ensure on-time, quality product delivery.
• Develop, monitor and execute plant goals and action plans (short and long term).
• Drive lean initiatives, improve efficiency and promote a safe, team-focused environment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA and HACCP guidelines.

Summary

• Production Supervisor III
  Location:4301 Forest St, Denver, CO 80216
  1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm

• 2nd Shift 2pm to10:30pm
  3rd Shift 10pm to 6:30 am
  *** please note which shift your candidate is interested in.

• Days of the week are TBD as management is currently developing a schedule.

• Associates may be required to work weekends, potentially at least one day each weekend.
  Is there a possibility this assignment will be extended? Yes
  Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time employment? Yes
  Candidates will have a panel interview.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers.
  Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term.
  Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency.
  Promote development of cost saving initiatives.
  Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
  Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Safeway, Federal and State guidelines Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications:
  2 or more years of leadership experience in a production environment
  1 of more years' experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
  Preferred Qualifications:
  Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce
  Ability to manage and develop employees
  Availability – willingness to work hours and holidays
  Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
