Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking a Food Production Manager 2 to support our dynamic dining program at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in New Britain, CT.
CCSU is home to over 10,000 students and features a diverse and engaging dining program—including Memorial Hall Café, the newly opened Hilltop Café, Starbucks, multiple retail venues, and our latest concept, ZIME. This position plays a key leadership role, overseeing production across residential and retail dining venues.
We’re looking for a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills and experience in high-volume food service. Union experience and familiarity with collective bargaining agreements is highly preferred.
Oversee daily food production operations for campus dining, including residential and retail venues
Lead culinary teams to deliver high-quality, nutritious, and visually appealing meals
Maintain Sodexo culinary and safety standards across all units
Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
Manage food and labor costs to meet financial goals and support budget initiatives
Partner with front-of-house and retail leaders to enhance the overall customer experience
Support strategic planning, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives

2–4 years of experience in food production or culinary management, preferably in contract dining or campus environments
Proven leadership and team-building skills in a fast-paced setting
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and culinary best practices
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience working in a unionized environment is strongly preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands
Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus
