Salary Grade

T25. Learn more about the "T" salary structure. Salary considerations include job duties, education, experience, internal equity, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary

The Assistant Production Manager supports the Director of Operations and Production in managing broadcast, digital audio, and video projects, including recording, editing, and post-production tasks for speech, educational, and music programming both in-studio and on location.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree
• Three (3) years of related experience in music and voice audio editing for broadcast, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills and Abilities

• Superior attention to detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Audition and Pro Tools (preferred)
• Experience with analog and digital audio equipment
• Broadcast experience is a plus
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Experience in live voice and music recording and mixing
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of video production and editing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in radio, TV, or production
• Public media experience
