Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a production team member for 1st shift at our South Hutchinson facility. You will operate machinery to maintain the production line, monitor settings, and assist with line tasks while following safety policies. PPE includes steel-toed shoes and hearing protection; work environment may vary in temperature.

Qualifications

Have no more than 4 attendance points.
Have had no suspensions within past 12 months.
Have no more than 2 written warnings in the last 12 months.
Have no lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months.
New TM’s still in 30 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid.
Probationary TM’s bidding after their first 30 days, must have no more than 2 points.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line.
Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Learn new EIM System and use hand held scanners, as well as any other duties assigned.
Wear the appropriate PPE which includes steel toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection. (Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before they arrive at their workstation).
