Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician for the 1st shift in Hutchinson, KS. You will perform inspections, document results, and take corrective actions to maintain high food safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of QA/food manufacturing experience, with strong communication skills. Lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in variable temperatures are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry or related QA experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Document and calculate results accurately.
• Take corrective action by alerting appropriate personnel, identify and segregate non-conforming products, and report results to management.
• Handle additional assignments as requested.
