Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on the front lines of our plant operations. You will oversee the full production process, coach hourly staff, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

This onsite role requires adaptability to heat/cold environments and occasional long hours. You will drive continuous improvement, coach teams, and coordinate with managers to optimize yields and reduce downtime while maintaining product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading and training staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work long hours, travel up to 5%.
• Experience with food processing or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees to meet targets and maintain safety and quality.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure HACCP and USDA adherence.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and variances to improve workflows.
• Conduct monthly line meetings and daily floor walk-throughs.
• Oversee maintenance and setup of equipment and facilities.
