Job summary

Ventura Foods in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Group Leader to set up, inspect, operate, monitor and clean production equipment to deliver high-quality products. You will lead the line crew, coordinate daily activities with supervisors, ensure safety, GMP and FSMA compliance, and monitor process and packaging logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating lift equipment preferred.
• Reading and math skills are required; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Lead production line operations with guidance to the line crew.
• Ensure safety, GMP, SOPs, and quality policies are followed.
• Monitor and document process and packaging logs and adjust as needed.
• Perform pre-op checks and minor equipment adjustments.
• Train and evaluate new hires; cover shifts when needed.
• Communicate across departments to maintain smooth operations.
