Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. in Memphis, TN, seeks a Project Engineer to lead engineering for domestic capital projects from design through start-up. You’ll coordinate internal and contract teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring GMP/HACCP and safety standards.

You will develop process flows, evaluate bids, and manage multiple projects with 20–40% travel. A bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years of PM experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in design/installation of processing and/or packaging systems.
• Experience with GMP, HACCP, SQF and BRC compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan requirements for food processing/packaging projects and cost studies.
• Prepare engineering specs and develop process/P&ID drawings for projects.
• Lead projects from concept through commissioning to meet scope and budget.
• Coordinate permits, environmental/safety regulations and vendor bids.
• Supervise plant staff, contractors, and service personnel to ensure on-time completion.
• Provide technical support and implement operator training for new equipment.
