Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Project Engineer in Memphis, TN to support capital project delivery and continuous improvement across processing and packaging operations. You will coordinate internal teams and external contractors to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) and at least 5 years of project management experience in processing/packaging systems, with PLC/automation and GMP/HACCP/BRC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or engineering-based degree is required.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in design/installation of processing/packaging systems.
• Knowledge of PFDs and P&IDs; familiarity with ASME/ANSI/NFPA standards.
• Experience with PLC/controls for automation and cost savings.
• Experience with GMP/HACCP/SQF/BRC packaging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to analyze and plan requirements for food-related processing/packaging projects and cost studies.
• Prepare engineering specs, design process/flows, and create drawings/documentation for capital projects.
• Lead projects through concept, design, installation, commissioning, and qualification to meet scope and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, and safety standards.
• Specify equipment, obtain bids, select items, and supervise plant labor/contractors for execution.
