Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in our Emporia facility.

The role requires troubleshooting, reading schematics, and collaborating with engineers and vendors to keep production running smoothly. You will operate in a safety‑minded environment; follow LEAN principles; handle lifting tasks up to 150 pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; reading/writing/speaking English necessary.
• Ability to operate safely and follow policies including LEAN and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors as needed; troubleshoots equipment.
• Maintain safety compliance with Simmons policies and government regulations.
• Participate in team activities; support cohesive teamwork and communicate improvements.
• Follow Simmons operating systems principles and objectives; support quality, security, and LEAN.
• Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
