Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is hiring for an equipment maintenance role dedicated to repair and preventative maintenance in our processing facility. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and welding systems while adhering to safety standards and LEAN practices.

The role requires collaboration with engineers and vendors, participation in team activities, and adherence to Simmons’ operating systems. Physical demanding work and PPE use are expected for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and LEAN principles.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, or adjusts equipment to meet production requirements.
• Consults with engineers and vendors; performs project layout and troubleshooting.
• Adheres to Simmons safety policies; maintains compliance with government regulations.
• Participates in team meetings; supports cohesiveness and communicates issues to leadership.
• Familiarity with Simmons operating systems and policies; supports system improvements.
• Performs other duties to support business objectives as needed.
• Must be able to lift 75-150 pounds and work in challenging environments; uses PPE as required.
• Industry preference for poultry or food processing environments.
