Job summary

Simmons Foods in Emporia, KS seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain processing equipment across the facility. You will troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure operations meet safety and quality standards in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

The role requires experience in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics. You will work with engineers and vendors, follow LEAN practices, and collaborate with team members

Qualifications

Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preference for poultry or food processing experience.

Responsibilities

Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure it operates correctly and efficiently per production requirements.
Troubleshoots equipment and consults with engineers/vendors; executes layout work for projects.
Meets safety requirements and adheres to Simmons and government regulations.
Participates in team activities, promotes cohesiveness, and supports LEAN principles.
Performs other duties to support business objectives.
