Qualifications

• Must have experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Preference for poultry or food processing organization.
• Competencies: Communication skills & decision quality; ability to communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in equipment repair and preventative maintenance procedures in the operation of the facility.
• Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment to ensure proper operation per production requirements.
• Consults with Engineers and vendors; performs project layout; troubleshoots equipment.
• Adheres to safety policies and government regulations in all tasks.
• Participates in team development, communicates plans, attends meetings, and supports team cohesiveness.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems and policies; supports QA, LEAN, and security initiatives.
• Performs other duties to support business objectives.
• Physical duties include lifting 75-150 pounds and working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
• Travel: NA; PPE use as required.
