Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our food manufacturing equipment and facilities running smoothly. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and uphold GMP and HACCP standards in a hygienic plant environment.

Responsibilities include documenting work orders, coordinating with production teams, and supporting safety programs while flexibly covering non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably automated food processing.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery (conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, refrigeration).
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust equipment to meet production needs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions; implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency unscheduled repairs during production.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the facility.
• Record maintenance activities and equipment history in CMMS.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, QA, and safety teams to address issues.
• Provide training and technical guidance to staff on maintenance procedures.
