Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corp. in Des Moines, IA, seeks a Director of Food Packaging to translate market trends into go-to-market plays, sales enablement, and pipeline execution.

You will collaborate with marketing, operations, and supplier partners to strengthen the portfolio, improve win rates, and deliver a consistent customer experience across accounts.

Domestic travel up to 40% of the time.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and executing GTM and business development strategies.
• Strong ability to partner with field sales to drive pipeline, win rates, and profitable growth.
• Proficiency with food safety/quality systems (SQF/HACCP) and translating requirements into packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute GTM strategy for food packaging, including target segments and value propositions.
• Partner with sales to build territory/account plans and close deals.
• Lead customer discovery, solution design, proposal development, and executive presentations.
• Establish pipeline discipline; manage CRM, forecast accuracy, and revenue attainment.
• Maintain deep knowledge of packaging applications and translate to compelling messaging.
• Coordinate resources to meet food packaging expectations and quality standards.
• Lead cross-functional pursuit teams to scope, price, and win programs.
• Develop proposals, pricing guidance, and implementation plans; support negotiations.
• Manage pricing discipline and monitor program profitability with leadership.
• Build strategic partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to expand offerings.
• Support onboarding for strategic wins and drive retention.
