Job summary

This role involves reading codes, operating coding equipment, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
• Must perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must be willing to participate in Production Improvement Teams or other temporary groups.
• Must be able to train other associates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist on a production line and follow standard manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety, GMP, and quality policies.
• Prepare, label, and rework products as required and maintain line speed.
• Read codes and operate coder machines; manage packaging and labeling per product specs.
• Open, weigh, and portion products with accuracy and compliance.
• End-of-day tasks include resealing unused materials and cleaning equipment.
