Job summary

Rich Products Corporation, a family-owned food company, seeks a QA Technician in Romeoville, IL to assure food safety through HACCP monitoring, corrective actions, and deviation reporting. You will perform lab testing, document results, and support process improvements.

Collaborative with the QA Manager and team, you’ll maintain a clean, organized lab and drive continuous quality enhancements. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, strong PC and lab skills, knowledge of statistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; experience preferred but not required.
• Chemistry work: water activity, fatty acids, viscosity, pH, Brix, moisture.
• Microbiology: knowledge of pathogens and growth characteristics in food manufacturing.
• 1 year experience in commercial food processing preferred.
• Proficient Windows, Word, Excel, and general PC skills.
• Statistical knowledge and basic database familiarity.
• Willingness to continued training and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Understanding of microbiological contaminants and common ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Document test results and report deviations to management.
• Review data and direct follow-up on product testing deviations.
• Conduct product and process capability studies as directed.
• Perform QA tasks: sampling, line monitoring, lab testing, calibrations.
• Coordinate lab operations and audit data for process improvements.
• Audit test methods and SOP/QA agreement compliance.
• Prepare written reports on compliance and corrective actions.
• Understand acids and compliance with federal guidelines.
