Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Watertown, MA is seeking a Set-ups employee in the blending department to assemble batch ingredients and ensure accurate weights, using a standup forklift and basic scanner/computer tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 2 years in a food warehouse, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, adherence to GMP and allergen procedures, and safe, efficient operation in a busy production and warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of standup forklift and load move system.

Responsibilities

• Consistently select correct ingredients and provide accurate amounts of bulk ingredients per batch requirements.
• Provide accurate weights of partial ingredients per batch requirements.
• Stage ingredients on pallets for blending.
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing
• Must be able lift up to 75 pounds continuously
• Must maintain integrity of raw materials
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must follow good manufacturing practices, and be responsible for sanitation of assigned area.
• Must follow all Safety Rules
• Cooperates in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment
