Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Set-ups employee for our blending department in Watertown, MA. The role involves assembling ingredients for batches, lifting and staging on pallets, and using an electric sit-down forklift. Computer and scanner literacy are beneficial for accuracy and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in food warehousing, can operate stand-up forklifts, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklift and load move system.

Responsibilities

• Consistently select correct ingredients and provide accurate amounts of bulk ingredients per batch requirements.
• Provide accurate weights of partial ingredients per batch requirements.
• Stage ingredients on pallets for blending.
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds continuously
• Must maintain integrity of raw materials
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Must follow good manufacturing practices, and be responsible for sanitation of assigned area.
• Must follow all Safety Rules
• Cooperates in maintaining a safe and respectful work environment
