Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment per electrical diagrams and manuals. The role uses an electronic CMMS to document work orders and ensures safety and quality in production lines.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, wiring and control work, gear and component fabrication, welding, and training junior staff in setup and best practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools for mechanical and electrical tasks.
• Experience with CMMS for documenting work orders and parts.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to train junior technicians and operators.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on drives, belts, fluids, and filters.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains motors, pneumatics, PLCs, touch screens, and conveyors.
• Documents work performed using CMMS on a mobile device.
• Teardowns and rebuilds gearboxes, actuators, and related assemblies.
• Fabricates parts and welds using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.
• Maintains electrical wiring, relay logic, and safety circuits.
• Trains operators and junior technicians on equipment setup and best practices.
• Complies with food safety and quality requirements and company safety policies.
