Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking seasonal staff to support dining operations. You will coordinate communication between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely order delivery, inspect each dish for accuracy and presentation, prioritize tickets, and help maintain food safety and a clean expo area.

Starting date at the end of November or beginning of December, with positions available throughout the season. On-mountain housing is available for rent, and employees receive perks including free

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience preferred, especially in busy dining environments.
• Experience coordinating between kitchen and front-of-house is a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Inspect each dish for accuracy, presentation, and portion size before it leaves the kitchen.
• Prioritize tickets/orders and keep track of multiple tables/orders at once.
• Ensure food safety standards are maintained during handling and plating.
• Communicate with servers about any changes, delays, or special requests.
• Assist with garnishing and final touches on dishes when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized expo station.

Education

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant, preferably as an expeditor or in another kitchen/front-of-house role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs if needed.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
