Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos is seeking a Food Expeditor in Burleson, TX. You will help ensure every order is accurate and timely, coordinating between kitchen staff and runners to maintain smooth service and guest satisfaction.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and a mindset focused on urgency and fun. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety, including allergy handling when needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification.
• Certification must be obtained by your first day or within location timelines.
• Open to varied work schedules.
• Must be able to stand for several hours.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to have fun!

Responsibilities

• Verify tickets to food orders, double-check modifications, and ensure dishes meet Torchy's quality standards.
• Record and communicate ticket times to keep the kitchen and service flowing.
• Involve a manager for allergies or complicated tickets to ensure guest safety.
• Portion salsas on sheet pans, label, date, and record yields accurately.
• Set up stations per diagram, maintain backups, and restock as needed.
• Keep kitchen and stations clean and organized; perform line sweeps and equipment checks.
• Prepare chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness.
