Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos is hiring a Food Expeditor to ensure every order leaving the kitchen is accurate, timely, and aligned with Torchy’s standards. You will act as the critical link between kitchen and runners to deliver the best damn tacos to guests.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, managing tickets, handling allergy cases with management involvement, portioning and labeling prep items, setting up stations, and maintaining cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification.

Responsibilities

• Order Accuracy: Verify tickets to food orders and ensure dishes meet Torchy's quality standards.
• Ticket Management: Record and communicate ticket times to keep kitchen and service flowing smoothly.
• Allergy & Special Orders: Involve a manager for allergies or complex tickets to ensure guest safety.
• Portioning & Prep: Portion salsas as listed on the prep sheet and label/date fills accurately.
• Station Setup & Maintenance: Set up stations per diagram and restock as needed for shifts.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain clean, organized stations and perform line sweeps.
• Chip & Dips Preparation: Prepare chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness.
