Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos Westminster is hiring a Food Expeditor to ensure every order leaving the kitchen is accurate, timely, and up to Torchy's standards. This role is the heartbeat of the line between the kitchen and runners, helping guests receive the best damn tacos every time.

You will verify tickets, manage orders, handle allergies with a manager, portion and label prep items, set up and break down stations, keep things clean, and ensure speedy service with a high sense of urgency and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification.
• Certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required by your location.
• Open to varied work schedules and hours based on the restaurant’s needs.
• Must be able to stand for several hours and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify tickets to food orders, double-check modifications and ensure dishes meet Torchy's quality standards.
• Record and communicate ticket times to keep the kitchen and service flowing.
• Involve a manager for allergies or complicated tickets to ensure guest safety.
• Portion salsas and prep items, label and date pans accurately.
• Set up stations per diagram and break down for the next shift, restock as needed.
• Keep kitchen and stations clean and organized; perform line sweeps.
• Prepare chips and dips in order of tickets to ensure freshness.
