Position Overview

The Food Expeditor manages the flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring accuracy, quality, presentation, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in fast-paced environments, and possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Functions

• Ensure all orders meet quality, presentation, and timing standards.
• Act as the communication bridge between kitchen staff and servers.
• Check each dish for proper garnishing, temperature, and portion size.
• Ensure food modifications or special requests are correctly followed.
• Keep the pass area clean and organized.
• Manage the queue of outgoing dishes and prioritize accordingly.
• Alert the kitchen to delays or issues.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff for table service.
• Assist in packaging takeout or delivery orders, if needed.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly, attentive service, greet guests warmly, and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow food safety guidelines, handle food and utensils carefully, and maintain cleanliness.
