Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. in Lubbock, TX seeks a Technical Service Intern in Food & Beverage to gain hands-on project experience within the food industry.

You will work on-site with dairy and food customers, performing CIP validations, analyzing wash cycles, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, and profitability. This paid internship runs June–August, requires flexible hours, and offers potential for full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree (Food/Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel are required.
• Must be a self-starter with communication and interpersonal abilities, and able to read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CIP validations and wash-cycle analyses at food/dairy facilities.
• Prepare written service/usage reports and support project tasks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings for customers.
• Maintain Hydrite's standards of excellence and professional culture during the internship.
• Complete a final internship report and presentation for Hydrite management.
