Overview
The Food & Beverage Supervisor assists in overseeing the food and beverage operations within the hotel to provide quality service, food and beverage presentation, and guest experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned F&B areas.
- Understand state liquor regulations, especially those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness.
- Support the Manager by ensuring staff reports to work; document any late or absent employees.
- Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.
- Inspect table/set-ups for cleanliness, neatness, and accuracy with guest orders and departmental standards.
- Ensure all orders are delivered within designated timelines.
- Assist in taking guests' orders and follow procedures to meet department standards.
- Document relevant information in the department logbook.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties per departmental standards.
- Review assignments and follow-up actions with the Manager and/or on-coming Supervisor.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience in an F&B role.
- Knowledge of Micros and Delphi is a plus but not required.
- Good understanding of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Minimum age of 21 to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Willing to obtain necessary certificates/licenses to meet compliance standards.
