Job Description:

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, maintains professional, efficient, and courteous Food and Beverage operations by greeting guests and team members, establishing rapport, and providing outstanding service and training. Works with culinary staff to exceed guest expectations. Ensures compliance with Title 4 (Arizona Liquor law) and TOGE internal controls.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures, including Internal Controls (ICs).
  • Know and enforce laws and regulations related to Food & Beverage, including health and safety codes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Ensure quality control and consistent presentation of served items.
  • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and other departments.
  • Participate in supervisor/management meetings for ongoing development.
  • Adhere to all Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and TOGE internal controls.
  • Order from procurement systems efficiently.
  • Create schedules based on business needs.
  • Maintain par levels for all products.
  • Train team members effectively with positive results.
  • Keep attendance records for team members.
  • Act as a leader with integrity, acting in the best interest of the enterprise.
  • Monitor and manage team members’ time records for labor efficiency.
  • Assist in daily operations, ensuring cost and labor efficiency.
  • Conduct performance evaluations fairly.
  • Understand profit and loss statements and present variances.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Represent TOGE with courtesy, respect, and sensitivity.
  • Create a team environment of cooperation and service.
  • Maintain proper attendance and flexibility for job changes or additional responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate Desert Diamond Casino’s “On Brand” attitude and Spirit of Service Standards.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED plus 1 year recent supervisory dining room or food service experience.
  • Experience in cash handling and alcohol enforcement.
  • Must be 18 or older with no felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
  • Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Knowledge, Skills, & Certifications:
  • Energetic, motivated personality with leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of dining, buffet, food maintenance, and guest service.
  • Knowledge of menu items, POS systems, procurement, and supervisory techniques.
  • Knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law).
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers and TIPS certifications.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to service guests professionally and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Professional appearance and etiquette.
Physical Demands

Stand for extended periods, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, walk frequently, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Casino and restaurant setting, exposure to second-hand smoke and noise, with evening, holiday, and weekend hours, including irregular shifts.
