Job summary

ECOLAB in the United States is seeking Technical Sales Interns for a summer 2027 program with Food & Beverage. You’ll work with Account Managers in plant environments, learn sanitation plans, and gain hands-on experience in food safety, quality, and sustainability.

The 11-week paid internship offers relocation assistance, a hybrid work setup, and potential for a full-time offer after graduation. You’ll develop professional relationships, present findings to leadership, and apply classroom

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, or chemistry with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11‑week internship program, starting on Tuesday, June 1st.
• Position requires a valid US Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with existing Account Managers in customer plant environments, focusing on food safety and food quality using sanitation products and processes.
• Learn the daily responsibilities of an Ecolab Account Manager and work on value‑added projects for leadership.
• Cultivate business relationships with plant staff through professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.
• Apply mechanical aptitude to repair, adjust, test and install Ecolab dispensing systems and processing equipment.
• Monitor product performance and adjust chemical concentrations to improve efficiency.
• Provide industry expertise and training to customers on plant sanitation and food safety/quality procedures.
• Introduce new product offerings to existing accounts to disinfect surfaces in a plant facility.
• Learn how to prospect to generate new business.
