Job summary

Terranea Resorts in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, seeks a hospitality professional to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, guest‑centric environment. You will set up stations, assist the Chef on expediting, and ensure timely service and spotless work areas throughout your shift.

Responsibilities include delivering entrees, greeting guests, knowing menu items, maintaining Forbes standards, and collaborating with front-of-house teams to meet quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational individual.
• Must be able to speak and comprehend English.
• Must have valid Food Handler’s Card.
• Must have basic knowledge of food terminology.
• Must be able to lift and hold a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen organized and clean.
• Know dining room table numbers and positions.
• Set up kitchen work station to assist Chef on expediting of the food off the line.
• Deliver and serve food entrees to the guest.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Know the food menus and Forbes standards.
• Complete requisition for daily ordering of supplies.
• Take instruction from the Chef on the line.
• Complete closing duties, restock items, set up for next shift.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisors.
