Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager for the Fluno Center, a full-service event destination on the UW–Madison campus. You will oversee catering and dining operations, manage event setups, support break stations, and handle budgeting, scheduling, and inventory.

You will also recruit and train student workers and supervise staff in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include 1 year of supervisory experience in a food operation, ServSafe

Qualifications

• 1-year of supervisory experience in a food operation – restaurant or catering
• ServSafe Certificate hold or able to obtain within 6-12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assists with unit budget monitoring, management of inventory levels, and staff training
• Monitors adherence to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, identifies needs and makes recommendations for improvement to leadership
• Develops, implements and oversees workflow components, and assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
• Selects, develops, implements and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
• Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
