Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead student crews in setting up and serving catered events on campus, in surrounding buildings, and off campus. You will drive event success through leadership and customer service while coordinating staff and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Food service, restaurant, hotel experience, or customer service experience as a supervisor or team lead.
• Certifications are required or obtainable within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
• Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
• Prepares, presents, and executes catered events
• Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
• Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
