Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead a student crew in setting up and serving catered events across campus and beyond. You will drive event success through leadership and top-notch customer service, with a pension plan and generous leave benefits.

Key responsibilities include supervising food service staff, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating day-to-day event operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, restaurant, hotel or customer service as a supervisor or team lead.
• ServSafe Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• City of Madison Alcohol Operator License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Driver's License - preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and activities.
• Prepares, presents, and executes catered events.
• Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff.
• Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
