Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts at The Houston Grand - River Oaks is seeking a capable leader to manage restaurant and room service operations for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while directing bar operations. This role drives guest experience, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

You will forecast budgets, control costs, and implement company programs to support revenue growth and service excellence in a luxury Houston setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education
• Two years of full employment in a related position
• Hotel experience preferred
• Knowledge of hotel operations and budgeting
• Supervision/ management communication skills
• Analytical ability to investigate and recommend improvements
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods as directed by the Outlets Manager. Direct the day-to-day operations of the bar operations.
• Interview, hire, train, develop, evaluate performance, resolve problems, and manage staff with motivation.
• Assist with implementing company programs and manage operations of Restaurant, Room Service and other outlets to ensure compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
• Investigate and analyze current activities and information and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
• Make decisions based on established policy and procedures.
• Forecast, monitor, control and report on outlet budgets and components to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Respond to customer trends and issues to ensure a quality experience and future sales.
• Monitor maintenance and sanitation of outlets and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
