Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Food and Beverage Manager at Hotel San José, located in Austin, TX. The manager will oversee the entire F&B operation, lead the team, and ensure excellent guest experiences across various outlets including the lounge, room service, pool bar, and events. The role requires a dynamic leader who enjoys creating memorable experiences and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and lead service operations by setting an example.
  2. Create and manage beverage programs.
  3. Standardize staff training to ensure consistency.
  4. Recruit, develop, and train the F&B management team.
  5. Create a positive work environment and uphold customer service standards.
  6. Handle guest complaints regarding F&B.
  7. Ensure staff understanding of their roles and provide adequate training.
  8. Conduct regular performance evaluations.
  9. Maintain documentation in employee files.
  10. Develop market knowledge for brand promotion and demand generation.
  11. Conduct on-site inspections to meet quality standards.
  12. Provide operational and procedural guidance to leaders.
  13. Assist in labor scheduling to optimize profitability.
  14. Develop corrective action plans for operational improvements.
  15. Monitor performance metrics and analyze results.
  16. Maintain open communication with staff and management.
  17. Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  18. Maintain equipment in good working condition.
  19. Promote safety awareness throughout the property.
Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years of relevant restaurant management experience.
  2. Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
  3. Experience in team training and service standards enforcement.
  4. Ability to manage complex projects and develop/manage P&L.
  5. Deep knowledge of inventory, scheduling, logistics, and distribution.
  6. Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  8. Experience with industry technology such as Aloha or Toast preferred.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
