Job summary

NYU Langone Food Access Navigators is seeking a full-time AmeriCorps member to connect Sunset Park residents to support services, eligibility programs, and resources in English, Spanish, or Mandarin. You will assist with applications, coordinate pantry activities, and help residents access long-term food security through wrap-around services.

The role involves community outreach, case management, and direct pantry coordination, with training and team participation as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English & Spanish or English & Mandarin.
• Full-time AmeriCorps member serving Sunset Park community.
• Education level requires some college completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in applying for food stamps, child care, and vocational services.
• Provide direct pantry support, including setup and distribution on service days.
• Engage with residents in preferred language to navigate resources.
• Participate in team days, service projects and site trainings.
