Pratt Industries, Inc. in Sandston, VA seeks a dedicated operator for folding/gluing and related machinery. You will handle setup, operation, cleanup, and contribute to process improvements to ensure quality output.

The role is full-time and hourly. You will be expected to follow safety procedures, meet production schedules, and potentially learn additional box-making processes over time.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in the manufacturing industry running a machine.
• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Learn and assist in mechanical setup.
• Troubleshoot problems and assist in repairs.
• Knowledge of production software and production specs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of folding and gluing operations.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Check quality of boxes for defects during runs.
• Complete reports such as Production Data and Quality Data.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest schedule improvements.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; assist in maintenance requests.
