Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA seeks a Folder Gluer/Press/Die Cutter/Jumbo Operator to join a full-time manufacturing team. The role covers setup, operation, cleanup, and continuous improvement of folding and gluing processes.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience with machinery, can learn mechanical setups, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety and quality standards. This position offers strong benefits and room for growth within a large print and packaging organization.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in the manufacturing industry running a machine.
• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Must be able to learn and assist in mechanical set up.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and assist in necessary repairs.
• Working knowledge of production software and equipment design, capabilities and specs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of folding and gluing operations.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize utilization of equipment by operating at capacity and speed.
• Assist in training all Post job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check quality of boxes during run for defects.
• Complete reports like Production Data and Safety Data accurately.
