Alterra Mountain Company seeks a Bar Supervisor for Schweitzer Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho. You will manage daily bar operations, supervise staff, and ensure top-notch service while upholding standards. Knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails supports both guests and team members.

The role involves opening/closing duties, event planning, and training duties, with benefits including medical, vacation, and parental leave where applicable. Must be eligible for full-time seasonal employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: English reading/writing and communication; high school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years general food & beverage experience; at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring guest service and staff accountability.
• Oversee opening preparations, side work, end-of-shift reports and deposits; ensure bar readiness.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, beers, wines and cocktails to support guests and staff.
• Plan and coordinate bar events, promotions and entertainment with resort activities alignment.
• Assist with training front-of-house staff and provide leadership coverage during manager days off.

Responsible for opening and closing duties, staff supervision, customer service, and maintaining accountability and operational standards in the manager's absence.**Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, staff accountability, and adherence to established standards and procedures.* Oversee opening preparations, side work completion, end-of-shift reports, deposits, and overall readiness of the bar for service.* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, beer, wine, and cocktails to support guests and staff effectively.* Plan and coordinate bar events, specials, entertainment, and promotions while maintaining an organized schedule that aligns with resort activities and minimizes conflicts.* Assist with training and developing front-of-house staff, maintaining operational standards, creating training materials, and providing leadership coverage during the manager's scheduled days off. **Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- ServeSafe trainingTechnical- NonePhysical Capabilities- Able to stand and walk for up to 12 hrs a day.
