Alterra Mountain Company, Schweitzer Mountain Resort, located near Sandpoint, Idaho, is seeking a Part-Time Host to welcome visitors, provide information, and help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience on the mountain.

The role focuses on guest guidance, speed control in busy areas, and staying informed about daily events across Schweitzer Village and the mountain. Occasional tours may be led; Ski Patrol support is possible in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum education required – English reading, writing and communication.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Minimum time in related position—At least 1 season at Schweitzer.
• General knowledge of ski resort operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide speed control for guests throughout the day in high traffic areas.
• Provide visitor information and general guest guidance.
• Stay informed of daily events in Schweitzer village and around the mountain.
• Occasionally lead mountain tours.
• May assist Ski Patrol in emergencies, crowd direction, sweeps, events.
• Perform other guest service actions as required.

Ability to remain outside in all weather conditions.Additional- Must have an outgoing, energetic, positive attitude.
