Job summary

The Navy Region Naval District Washington Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, seeks an experienced Retail Dining FOH Manager to supervise on-site front-of-house staff, oversee setup, service, and teardown for dine-in and event operations.

This role requires strong guest engagement and coordination with kitchen, logistics, and inventory teams. You will schedule staff, ensure a professional image, manage reservations, monitor room readiness, and enforce

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in a food service role (FOH/supervisory).
• Five years of education beyond high school OR three years general work experience.
• Ability to lead FOH teams, schedule shifts, and ensure SOP/BEO adherence.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day FOH operations for designated locations and banquet events.
• Oversee staff assignments for setup, service, teardown; ensure uniform and professional image.
• Coordinate with managers, kitchen, logistics and inventory to meet specs; manage reservations and floor plans.
• Acknowledge and resolve guest concerns; maintain sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies.
• Control ambiance, assist with service tasks, settle cash bars, and complete post-event reporting.
